The Hollow is a public event venue and creative gathering space in Bay City, Michigan. We host performances, workshops, markets, comedy, karaoke, community nights, private rentals, experimental shows, and events that do not fit neatly into a boring little box.
We also operate The Hollow Social Club, a membership program that helps support the space and gives members access to select perks, community events, and discounted tickets.

The Hollow Social Club is the membership side of The Hollow. Membership dues help keep the space open, licensed, staffed, cleaned, stocked, and available for bold, unusual, community-centered programming.
Members receive access to select community events, discounted tickets to larger productions, and other perks as the club grows.
This is not about locking the public out. It is about building a stronger base of people who want this space to survive, thrive, and keep doing interesting things.

Day Membership - Starting at $10
Best for guests attending select member-supported events or trying the club for the day.
Monthly Membership - $29/month
Best for regulars who want ongoing access, perks, and a way to directly support the venue.
Annual Membership - $299/year
Best for long-term supporters who know Bay City needs more rooms like this.
Membership does not guarantee entry to sold-out events, limited-capacity programs, outside producer events, or separately ticketed productions.
Public Events + Member Events
The Hollow hosts a creative & diverse mix of public events, ticketed events, free community programming, private rentals, and Hollow Social Club events.
Public Events are open to the general public unless otherwise noted.
Ticketed Events require a purchased ticket and may have capacity limits.
Social Club Events may require an active membership, day membership, guest pass, or registration.
Private Events are hosted for invited guests only.
Each event listing will clearly explain what type of access is required.
Rent The Hollow
Need a space for something creative, intimate, unusual, or unforgettable?
The Hollow is available for private rentals, community events, workshops, photo shoots, vendor markets, small productions, meetings, celebrations, and independent shows.
The main space holds up to 100 standing guests or approximately 65 seated guests. The basement fellowship hall includes a small kitchen area with no stove, making it useful for catering, potlucks, vendor staging, green room use, or event support.
We are also working on activating the back patio space for future programming.
Starting Rental Rates:
$200 for up to 4 hours
$400 for a full day
We are willing to work with independent producers, artists, nonprofits, and community organizations to make the space accessible when possible.

We are looking for creative people, producers, instructors, artists, performers, organizers, and community builders who want to bring new ideas to Bay City.
Comedy night? Workshop? Social club? Vendor market? Performance series? Dance night? Book club for weirdos? A completely unhinged concept that needs four walls and a little faith?

We review proposals for rentals, collaborations, co-productions, recurring nights, and community programming.

The Hollow welcomes guests, members, artists, producers, and community groups who respect the space and the people inside it.
Harassment, hate speech, violence, unsafe behavior, property damage, and disrespect toward staff, performers, guests, members, neighbors, or event organizers are not welcome here.
Come as you are. Do not make yourself the reason we need a new rule.
